Given the importance of your face, it’s time to upgrade your
skin-care routine with these five tips for achieving glowing skin in five easy
steps! While it may seem impossible to get rid of acne and other imperfections
in less than 30 days, this guide will show you how to do just that by using
at-home remedies and simple beauty secrets, including my favorite product: The
Aurora Pro Light Anti-Aging Microdermabrasion Facial Kit. I hope you enjoy this
guide and put these techniques into practice as soon as possible!
1) Exfoliate Regularly
Exfoliating your skin helps remove dead cells and dirt to
reveal a fresh, glowing complexion. The best way to exfoliate is by using a
gentle scrub or a chemical exfoliant that's designed for daily use. Make sure
you gently massage the product onto your face and neck in circular motions
before rinsing it off. You should do this at least twice a week but no more
than four times per week. Be sure to moisturize afterwards as well!
2) Eat Antioxidant-Rich Foods
Many antioxidant-rich foods contain natural, gentle
scrubbing agents such as apples. Toss them with cinnamon, pumpkin spice and
nutmeg then cook on stovetop over medium heat until fruit starts to release
it's juices. Remove from heat, let cool and blend with water or almond milk for
desired thickness. Use a circular motion to massage onto skin and let dry for
10 minutes before rinsing off. Grapefruit is another excellent citrus fruit
that contains astringent properties that naturally act as an exfoliator while
balancing oil production on skin. Slice grapefruit into thin rounds and use as
you would your usual face wash!
3) Use a Face Mask
Face masks are one of the best ways to get glowing skin,
especially when used consistently. The key is to find face masks that work for
your skin type and preference. For example, if you have dry skin, you will want
to look for a mask with hydrating ingredients like shea butter or honey. If you
have oily skin, opt for masks that have clay or charcoal ingredients.
4) Moisturize Properly
Moisturizing properly is one of the most important steps for
achieving glowing skin. If you don’t moisturize your skin, it will become dry
and will look flaky. Dry skin can also cause problems such as breakouts and
wrinkles that can make you look older than you are. The key to maintaining
healthy, glowing skin is to keep it hydrated with a moisturizer that has SPF
protection if you plan on being outside for any length of time.
5) Wear Sunscreen
There are a few simple steps you can take to get glowing
skin. Apply a moisturizer with SPF daily, even in the winter. Exfoliate at
least two times a week to remove dry, dead skin cells and prevent breakouts.
Use an oil-free sunscreen every day to protect against sun damage that can lead
to wrinkles and age spots. Lastly, stay hydrated by drinking at least 2 liters
of water each day.
